Nordsøfonden's CEO, Birgitta Jacobsen, and the Nordsøfonden Board of Directors have agreed to end the collaboration with effect from 1 November. The decision is made in mutual understanding and respect, and both parties agree that this is the right time for a management change. The Board would like to thank Birgitta Jacobsen for her efforts during her time in Nordsøfonden.
Nordsøfonden faces important challenges in the coming years, especially the new CCS activities, but also ensuring good utilisation of the North Sea resources before 2050 (within the framework of the Danish energy supply policy) require focus. Nordsøfonden’s strategy will therefore be reviewed and updated in order to meet the challenges of the coming decade. Nordsøfonden will now seek a new CEO to lead the organisation and the update of the strategy. Until a new CEO is appointed, Lene Borch Frøtlund, who is currently General Counsel, will be acting CEO.
